UV3.net (formerly 3GuysHosting.com) began in May of 2004 after we had serious problems with our previous hosting companies. We started looking for new hosting and everything we found was lacking in one way or another. We were sure we could do better, and we have!!! Two of the owners are active duty in the United States Air Force and the 3rd is former Air Force and currently working as a contractor for the Air Force; all 3 are skilled system administrators. Our philosophy is simple; provide "Fast, Reliable, and Affordable Hosting". We do this by not making promises we can't keep. Other hosting companies operate servers out of their house or in unreliable foreign data centers, charge set up fees, overload their servers with too many customers, and sell more bandwidth and space than they have available...we don't!! The Planet data centers are among the best in the world featuring complete redundancy in power, HVAC, fire suppression, network connectivity, and security. The datacenter has an amazing 19Gbps of external bandwidth spread out over 11 separate carriers to provide you with the fastest and most reliable service available. We run the most reliable and proven software combination on our servers: Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Apache web server, CPanel control panel, MySql Database, PHP and more.
